Andre Florido - EIA Investor

André Flórido is a seasoned venture capitalist and entrepreneur currently serving as a Senior Investment Associate at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm that supports driven founders from the inception of their company. With extensive experience in investment banking, venture capital, and startup operations, he co-founded and scaled Betmarkets, reaching a Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) of €50k. André’s expertise includes strategic innovation, business model validation, and supporting high-potential startups to achieve scalable success. 

 

Miguel Botto / Investment Director at Portugal Ventures / Portugal

Miguel Botto - EIA Porto 2024 Investor

Miguel Botto has been working in the venture capital industry since 1992. His track record includes reference venture capital investments in Portugal. He has sat on over 20 Boards of Directors and has also worked in the tourism sector, as CFO and member of the Board of a listed company. Alongside his professional career, Miguel also focused on academic pursuits, lecturing at HEC – Lausanne, ESADE in Barcelona and, later, at the University of Minho. 

 

Ricardo Marvão / Co-Founder of Beta-i / Portugal

Ricardo Marvão - EIA Investor

Ricardo Marvão is a co-founder of Beta-i, a global collaborative innovation consultancy based in Lisbon. With extensive experience in entrepreneurship and startup ecosystems, he has invested in over 60 startups through a €21M fund. Ricardo was instrumental in bringing educational initiatives such as Singularity University and the European Innovation Academy to Portugal. He holds an MBA in Aerospace and Aeronautics and is passionate about innovation and connecting entrepreneurs globally.

 

Gideon Marks / Anchor Mentor at Google for Startups / US

Gideon Marks - EIA Leadership CoachGideon Marks is a distinguished mentor and business leader with over three decades of experience in guiding technology companies through financial and corporate development, including taking three companies public and leading four to acquisitions. An angel investor in trailblazing firms like DoorDash and Ruckus Wireless, Marks is currently mentoring at organizations such as Google for Startups, sharing his expertise on leadership, funding, and the Silicon Valley ecosystem. Alongside his professional endeavors, he also co-manages DogLog, an app for dog owners, with his children.

 

Anna De Stefano / Business Angel at Italian Angels for Growth / Italy

Anna De Stefano - EIA InvestorAnna De Stefano is a seasoned entrepreneur and angel investor with nearly three decades of expertise in legal innovation and publishing. As the founder of a leading company in the legal publishing sector, she has demonstrated sustained market leadership through her forward-thinking strategies and commitment to excellence. Anna has made a significant impact on the startup ecosystem, having evaluated over 1,000 pitches and mentored more than 30 startups through various Italian and international programs. Her innovative project, Creative Comma, aims to promote the use of plain and inclusive legal language, further showcasing her dedication to transforming the legal field. Anna’s contributions have been recognized with the European Woman of LegalTech award, underlining her influence and commitment to integrating purpose in every endeavor.

 

Rodrigo Alvarenga / Managing Partner & CEO of HAG Group / Brazil 

Rodrigo Alvarenga - EIA Chief of MentorsWith over 20 years of experience, Rodrigo Alvarenga has made significant contributions to the startup ecosystem, investing in over 25 startups across diverse sectors such as Fintech, Edutech, and Health & Wellbeing. Rodrigo is particularly proud of his impact as a mentor to founders and as a professor, where he shares his insights on venture building, entrepreneurship, and business transformation. He has served as a board member and senior advisor for various global accelerators and innovation programs, guiding entrepreneurs from ideation to post-Series A stages, and helping them navigate complex challenges in the business world.

Maher Hakim - EIA Investor Maher Hakim is a seasoned ecosystem builder, educator, and venture capitalist with a strong background in tech entrepreneurship. As a Partner at 212.vc, he focuses on scale-up investments in B2B technology startups with global ambitions. Maher also serves as the Chief Advisor for Innovation and Enterprise at the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation Council and a Distinguished Career Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. He is dedicated to fostering innovation and supporting the growth of startups worldwide.

 

Fred Krieger / Founder and CEO of Scoro / Estonia

Fred Krieger - CEO and Founder of ScoroFred Krieger is the founder and CEO of Scoro, a leading work management platform that helps professional service companies streamline their operations. Miguel Barosa Gonçalves / Founder & Lead Brand Manager of Resvés / Portugal

Miguel Barosa Goncalves - EIA Investor

Miguel Barosa Gonçalves has a solid track record of fostering growth and innovation within startups. He has been instrumental in setting up and leading the European branch for Wefunder, where he streamlined operations and sourced significant capital for new ventures. As a founder and lead brand manager at Resvés, Miguel adeptly transitioned the company from a software development studio to a branding powerhouse, achieving an impressive annual recurring revenue (ARR). His commitment to entrepreneurship is further exemplified by his impactful work with YouthFutures NGO, through which he influenced youth-related legislation and facilitated substantial fundraising efforts.
