Who we are

What these terms cover
These terms apply to everyone who uses inacademy.eu or inacademy.ai, applies to an EIA program, or takes part in one as a student, faculty member, mentor, speaker or partner.
- If you join through your university, the agreement between EIA and your university also applies. Where the two differ, the signed agreement wins.
- If you are offered a place, the written offer or invoice you receive sets out your price and payment terms. Where it differs from these terms, the written offer wins.
- EIA Ventures investments follow their own published terms, set out on the Innovation page.
Our programs
The EIA summer course is a three-week entrepreneurship course in which teams take one idea to a tested product and pitch it to investors. Each edition starts with an online pre-week for finding co-founders. The 2027 editions are:
- Lisbon, 19 July to 6 August 2027. All three weeks on site. Host: University of Lisbon.
- Rome, 19 July to 6 August 2027. Two weeks on site, then one online. Host: Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma.
- London, 12 to 30 July 2027. One week on site, then two online. Host: Bayes Business School.
EIA Ventures is a separate program: ten online Saturdays after the summer course for teams that win an investment award at Demo Day. Entry is only through that award.
We publish dates, formats and hosts on each city page and confirm them in writing when you enrol. Day-to-day details, such as speakers, mentors and session times, can change. If a change affects your dates, location or format, we tell you in writing as early as we can.
Applying and confirming a place
- You apply through the application form on the city page. Applying is free and does not commit you to pay.
- Seats are limited. A place is confirmed only when EIA confirms it to you in writing.
- Universities that bring a cohort confirm places by signing an agreement with EIA. Seats are held once it is signed.
- The information you give in your application must be true and complete. We may withdraw an offer that was based on false information.
Our programs are designed for adults. Our website is not directed at anyone under 18, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Fees and payment
Tuition is the same in Lisbon, Rome and London. The price depends on when you book: earlier bookings pay less, and the current price is shown on each city page.
What tuition includes
- The full course, 8 to 10 hours a day, with mentors, speakers and investors.
- Daily mentoring for your team.
- Credit documentation: syllabus, learning outcomes, contact hours and assessment rubrics for your university.
What tuition does not include
- Travel to and from the host city.
- Accommodation and meals.
- Travel and health insurance.
- Visa or travel authorisation fees.
Paying, cancelling and refunds
In writing before you pay
Your payment deadlines, and what happens if you or your university cancel, are set out in your written offer, invoice or university agreement before any payment is due. Those written terms decide any refund. If anything is unclear, ask us at info@inacademy.eu before you pay.
University cohorts are invoiced to the university in euros or US dollars. US universities can pay by purchase order. Grants for faculty who bring a cohort are paid on the terms given to them in writing.
Academic credit
The course is designed for 6 ECTS, usually mapped to 3 US semester credit hours. EIA gives your university the syllabus, contact hours, learning outcomes and rubrics it needs.
Credit is awarded by your own university, not by EIA. Check with your faculty or registrar before you enrol. Where credit is not possible, EIA can agree a recognised non-credit pathway with your university.
Travel, visas and insurance
- You arrange and pay for your travel and accommodation, unless your university agreement says otherwise.
- Entry rules are your responsibility and depend on your passport. Many passports need no visa for short stays in Portugal or Italy, and the UK asks most visitors for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Check the rules for your own case.
- If you need a visa, EIA sends an invitation letter and supporting documents on request. Apply at least three months before you travel.
- Make sure you have travel and health insurance that covers your whole stay. It is not included in tuition.
Safety arrangements on site are described in our Safety Protocol.
Conduct
Everyone taking part agrees to follow the Code of Conduct and the Safety Protocol, on site and online, and the house rules of the host university.
If someone breaks the Code of Conduct, EIA may take the steps it describes, which in serious cases include removal from the program.
Your ideas and our materials
- The ideas, products and companies your team builds belong to your team. Agree early with your teammates how ownership and roles are split, and check any claims your university, employer or grant provider may have.
- EIA does not charge a fee or take equity for EIA Ventures. Equity changes hands only if EIA invests, on the published SAFE terms.
- Course materials, playbooks, templates and recordings remain EIA's or their authors'. You may use them for your own learning and your team's venture, but not republish or sell them.
- Ideas shared by other teams in sessions are theirs. Treat them in confidence.
Photos, video and testimonials
Official photographers and videographers record EIA events. The images may appear on our website and social channels. If you do not want to be photographed or filmed, tell a staff member.
We publish a testimonial with your name only with your consent, and remove it if you ask. Names and results of EIA Ventures teams appear only once the founders agree.
Using this website
- The website describes our programs in good faith. Figures carry their source where we have one. The written offer or agreement you receive is what binds us, not a summary on a web page.
- Some forms and links lead to services we do not run, such as application forms, booking calendars and our blog. Their own terms and privacy notices apply there.
- Do not misuse the website: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape personal data or send spam through its forms.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection or data protection law that cannot be limited by contract. How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not alter a written offer or agreement you have already accepted.
Write to info@inacademy.eu with any question about these terms.
